The purpose of the Brazilian Journal of Kinanthropometry and Human Performance (BJKHP) is to publish the results of scientific research covering the areas of Kinanthropometry and Human Performance. BJKHP is targeted at professionals working in Physical Education, Exercise and Sports Science.
The BJKHP has been published since 1999 by the Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina, Florianópolis, Brazil. The journal was published annual from 1999 (vol. 1) to 2002 (vol. 4), biannual from 2003 (vol. 5) to 2005 (vol. 7), quarterly from 2006 (vol. 8) to 2009 (vol. 11) and bimonthly - 2010 (vol. 12).
Index H - if calculated by the "Publish or Perish" the "Revista Brasileira de Cineantropometria and Human Performance" attained now H 15, and in 2009 was H 4 (information obtained on 07/21/10). |

Evaluation of articles Preliminary Analysis. Manuscripts will only be forwarded to reviewers after approval following a preliminary analysis of compatibility with the objectives and editorial policy of BJKHP, the format of articles and their potential for publication. The criteria on which the BJKHP bases acceptance of articles include: originality, data validity, effective communication, repercussions of the conclusions, and the scientific contribution made to Physical Education and Sports Science. The Associate Editor sends the manuscript to two expert Reviewers for evaluation (double mind process). The Reviewers will make specific and general comments about the scientific merit of the study and will decide whether the article should be accepted, rejected or accepted with corrections. The Associate Editor then sends the reviewers’ opinions and his decision to the Editor-in-Chief, who will make the final decision. |
